Let me say outright that the Hawkesmill Oxford is a very nice camera wrist strap. In fact, it’s probably the best strap I’ve ever seen, yet alone had the pleasure to use. – Shotkit
Oxford Leather Camera Wrist Strap
We tried dozens of leathers before settling on Horween Chromexcel for our Oxford leather camera wrist straps. We were looking for a leather that was durable and could take daily abuse, but that was soft on the interior when up against the skin. Horween Chromexcel is, in our minds, the only leather worth using on camera wrist straps. A photographer shouldn’t have to worry about their wrist strap. They should be able to use it and not have to think about it being uncomfortable, or worrying about it breaking. That’s what we’ve created with our Oxford leather camera wrist strap.
• Length: 22cm (8 3/4″)
• Width: 1.5cm
• Two colours available: black and brown.
• Leather keeper comes with red stitching as standard. Although, several thread colours are available: black, dark brown, orange, navy, red and soft pink. The default thread colour is orange for our brown straps and red for our black straps. Our thread comes from Amann & Söhne. A German textile company that has been in business since 1854.
• High-quality, large rivets to ensure durability and longevity.
• Horween Chromexcel leather. Known for its durability and softness, as well as its lack of colour-transference. Meaning, the dye will not rub off on your clothes.
• Recommended max weight is 5lbs. Although straps have been tested to support weight up to 30lbs without breaking or splitting.
• Lug mount. Fits all lug mount cameras, including Nikon, Leica, Olympus, Sony, Fujifilm and most 35mm vintage cameras.
• We use the finest quality 304 stainless steel split rings and provide you with multiple rings in case you ever need to replace them.
• Most of our camera straps can be personalised. We stamp up to 3 letters on the strap. On the Westminster and Kensington straps we personalise just above our needle and thread logo. On our Oxford wrist strap we personalise just above our Hawkesmill England brand logo. We do not allow custom placements. Please note: we do not allow returns, or exchanges on straps which have been personalised unless faulty.

I can clearly, without hesitation, say that this is one of the finest leather camera straps I have ever seen or owned. The leather is soft, the stitching is flawless. As usual – you get what you pay for. Several websites have already labeled Hawkesmill as the best camera strap in the world and I have to agree 100%. – Read full review.
The Hawkesmill camera straps are incredibly well made, feel great, and overall have a nice appeal to them. They surely do their job and they do it rather well. If you want one strap that’s absolutely perfect and gives you room to make adjustments accordingly, then spring for these straps. – Read full review.
Overall I absolutely cannot fault this strap so can comfortably give it a 10/10, and I’m generally fussy. Sure the price is high but so is the quality. Buy one of these and you’ll probably not need another for at least ten years. – Read full review.

I’ve tried a lot of straps. Most are rubbish. That’s just the way it is. You get a few months use out of them and they fall apart or look like crap. Not this one. Its gotten better with age. And it is insanely soft! Like stupidly soft, especially after a couple weeks use.
I tried to find something wrong with it but truthfully I can’t. It’s a nice leather strap made out of beautiful leather. Just get one if you’re in the market for a nice wrist strap. Shipping was a little pricey, but worth it as it was shipped DHL 2 days to Hong Kong.

It seems like everyone is making camera straps now. And why not? They look easy enough to make. So when I was finally convinced to buy one I had no idea which one to get. I read every review I could find and finally settled on this Hawkesmill Oxford wrist strap.
I wish I had bitten the bullet and ordered it sooner. It really is a great product. Before I started using this strap I didn’t even know if I would like a wrist strap and now I leave it on my camera all the time. It’s super soft and feels very solid. I know my camera is in good hands with this strap!

What can I say, it’s a leather wrist strap. But what a nice strap it is! Thanks guys! I’ve already told several people about it and they said they’d have a look. Keep it up.

Hawkesmill have been on my radar for a long time. Seems everywhere I turn there’s another article on them, or someone with one of their products. However, up until recently I haven’t had the funds to get any of their products. Instead, I bought some cheap alternatives and quckly realized why there is a premium.
The other leather straps out there are tough, not soft at all and break after a few months. Or at least they wear a lot and don’t look very good. The guys at Hawkesmill have made a first rate product and I’m glad I saved my pennies to buy it. Well worth the money!

This is my second Hawkesmill strap. After using the Kensington for the past year, I knew I couldn’t go wrong with the Oxford. Amazingly soft leather strap with fine craftsmanship.

Let’s face it there are a lot of camera accessories brands out there pushing straps. Leica even has their own fancy leather strap now. Seems like leather camera straps are the “in thing” at the moment. I came across hawkesmill while browsing the internet one day. And man I was hooked from the start! I love thier entire message and ethos!
When it came time to buy a strap I chose carefully. I am not really into neck straps but the idea of a wrist strap intrigued me. Well it doesn’t disappoint! It was comfortable right out of the box. It has now been over 6 months and it only gets better! The stainless steel key ring things seem very durable and I have not worried about my camera at all.

Got this for Christmas last year. I put it on my Fuji X-E3 and it has not come off. The nicest camera strap I have ever used. That being said I have only ever used the stock ones that come with cameras, but still. This thing is niiiiiice!

I received my two straps last week and thought you should know that I am thrilled with them!!!
Beautiful in every sense! Does my Fuji 100F look fabulous (+ Squarehood, Artisan Obscura shutter button and hotshoe cover and Gariz half-case)? It takes amazing photos too!!!!
I will save up and buy a couple of full length straps in the future for my XPro-3s which, with the 100F, I use for weddings (sample attached!) – See attached
Hope you are safe and surviving in my homeland under lockdown.
We have been so fortunate here in Australia.
Keep up the fabulous work – your straps are exceptional and excellent value for the superb quality.
Very best wishes and THANK YOU!

Strap took a while to reach me. But that is not their fault. The Italian post office has been having issues! It was worth the wait! Lovely lovely strap. Very soft and smells nice. Grazie!
