About the small Marlborough camera bag
This camera bag was created because of our intense love affair with durable canvas bags. Those old bags that you see in movies. They appear to never fail despite looking like they were used in both World Wars and then taken on a safari afterwards. The first time we saw one of those trusty canvas bags was in a glossy advert. Inside the bag was a small car engine. It was holding this engine, suspended, using nothing but its straps. Imagine that, a canvas bag supporting the weight of a car engine. We needed to make a camera bag like that.
The small Marlborough camera bag is our version of that bag. It is the bag we would want if we could only have one camera bag. It will stand up to just about anything the user throws at it. The Superdry canvas and thick vegetable tanned leather is an incredible combination of longevity and weight.
And unlike other leading camera bags that are made of canvas, the Marlborough camera bag does not use any wax to keep it waterproof. It truly is an incredible, low-maintenance material that only gets better with age.

I have a lot of camera bags. I am kind of obsessed. But this one is my new favorite. Here’s why:
It is fairly light, even though it isn’t as light as other bags. With my Fuji X-T2 and additional lens, this is still a very light setup. Here’s a tip… remove the rear sleeve and shoulder pad and you can get the weight down a bit without losing anything.
It fits everything I need without being bulky.
It looks amazing. And I’m always getting compliments on it.
The rear sleeve is a great addition. I have used it several times in the airport and it comes in very handy when my passport or ID is needed.
I love the front clasp. I wasn’t sure at first, but I love it. I never worry about someone stealing my camera, or any of my stuff.
The bolt feet are very sexy and protect the bag a lot.
All in all I am very happy. This bag should cost a lot more than it does!

Just got this bag in the sale. Whoa! I am totally smitten.
It is understated and secure. I love the fabric it’s made out of. It reminds me of a safari fabric. I haven’t tried out the waterproof capability yet, but it does seem like it would stop all but the most intense rain.
A perfect small bag for my Leica that doesn’t look like a camera bag and is just as stylish as my beautiful Leica M240.

The bag arrived on Saturday and I went out with it all day and for Father’s Day on Sunday. I don’t usually carry all that much camera gear, but I had my Fuji XT 1 with me and I had various items in the bag, like sunglasses and snacks, in the bag too for the day. I never felt like the bag was too heavy and I definitely never felt like someone would be able to get into it.
A fine bag from a seemingly very fine company. THANK YOU!

This is a wonderful bag. I searched for a long time to find a camera bag that was stylish, lightweight and had that special something. I’ve owned a Billingham for years but wanted something more unique as everyone has Billingham bags now. They aren’t special. These are!
I’m so happy I bought this. In my mind it’s worth twice the price when compared with other high end camera bags that are handmade.

I hate leaving reviews, but felt I needed to. What else can I say that other reviewers and websites haven’t? Not much.
Other than, I love this bag! This is not just a camera bag, it’s a brilliant statement of function and form coming together in a beautiful package. Does everything I need it to do. Never complains. Is secure. A genuinely great camera bag!

Just to say how thrilled I am with the quality and size of the Small Marlborough camera bag. It is certainly one of the nicest bags that I have seen and is the perfect size for smaller camera systems. And in case you are wondering, it is the ideal size to fit an iPad 9.7″ in the inside pocket or without the case, in the outside pocket.
The team at Hawkesmill are responsive, polite and sent the bag with great speed.
A very proud new owner!

Quality: In my view the quality is good, clearly better than any other camera bag I have seen, but perhaps not quite as astonishing as some reviews would suggest. 4/5.
Function: I have an Olympus OMD EM1. With the dividers in, the camera will not go in with any but the smallest lenses attached. I have removed the dividers and I can fit the camera with a pro lens on, 1 other pro lens, 2 smaller lenses (e.g. the 12mm and 45mm prime) and a flash. The bag also has some useful small pockets and a very neat insert on the side close to the body for passport or other important things. I imagine the camera would be more useful with a smaller camera – I am guessing but I suspect the Pen F with a small lens on would fit along with 2-3 other lenses, a lens-cleaning kit and flash even with the dividers in.
