Kensington Leather Camera Strap
We tried dozens of leathers before settling on Horween Chromexcel for our leather camera straps. We were looking for a leather that was durable and could take daily abuse, but that was soft on the interior of the neck pad. Some leathers seemed to work, but had terrible colour-transference. Our white shirt collars were left with stains. Horween Chromexcel is, in our minds, the only leather worth using for camera straps.
• Five sizes available: 90cm – (35 1/2″), 100cm – (39 3/8″), 110cm – (43 5/16″), 120cm – (47 1/4″) and 130cm – (51 1/5″). Measured from split ring to split ring (key ring). Please note: if ordering with a Peak Design anchor the length will be 10cm longer. If you require a specific size, please order one size down to accommodate for the anchor links.
• Width: 1.5cm
• Two colours available: brown and black.
• High-quality, large rivets to ensure durability and longevity.
• Horween Chromexcel leather. Known for its durability and softness, as well as its lack of colour-transference. Meaning, the dye will not rub off on your clothes.
• Recommended max weight is 5lbs. Although straps have been tested to support weight up to 30lbs without breaking or splitting.
• Lug mount. Fits all lug mount cameras, including Nikon, Leica, Olympus, Sony, Fujifilm and most 35mm vintage cameras.
• We use the finest quality 304 stainless steel split rings and provide you with multiple rings in case you ever need to replace them.
• Most of our camera straps can be personalised. We stamp up to 3 letters on the strap. On the Westminster and Kensington straps we personalise just above our needle and thread logo. On our Oxford wrist strap we personalise just above our Hawkesmill England brand logo. We do not allow custom placements. Please note: we do not allow returns, or exchanges on straps which have been personalised unless faulty.

I can clearly, without hesitation, say that this is one of the finest leather camera straps I have ever seen or owned. The leather is soft, the stitching is flawless. As usual – you get what you pay for. Several websites have already labeled Hawkesmill as the best camera strap in the world and I have to agree 100%. – Read full review.
The Hawkesmill camera straps are incredibly well made, feel great, and overall have a nice appeal to them. They surely do their job and they do it rather well. If you want one strap that’s absolutely perfect and gives you room to make adjustments accordingly, then spring for these straps. – Read full review.
Overall I absolutely cannot fault this strap so can comfortably give it a 10/10, and I’m generally fussy. Sure the price is high but so is the quality. Buy one of these and you’ll probably not need another for at least ten years. – Read full review.

Perfect little camera strap! The leather is so lush!!! It never leaves my camera.
I didn’t know what size to get. I contacted Hawkesmill and they suggested the 110cm. I am 5’10” and like my camera to hang right at my belly button. The fit was perfect! Very happy.

I have a Fuji XPro1 and therefore didn’t want a huge strap to go with my camera. After all, why buy a smallish camera and lug it down by adding a great chunky strap? This strap fits the bill perfectly! It is very comfortable. In fact, I don’t even know it’s on most of the time. And I get so many compliments on it from my friends and people who see it. It feels very strong. Luckily, I have’t had to test this out, but it does seem like it will last forever and not stretch. I don’t usually do reviews but thought I owed it to them for producing such a great product. Keep up the good work and please don’t ever stop making such amazing products. Too often small companies sell out and lose their quality.

NICE STRAP. DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN. FEELS VERY GOOD. NO ISSUES.

This is the BEST leather camera strap out there. I have tried several and always find issues with them. They are too thick, not thick enough. They aren’t comfortable, or they rub where they shouldn’t.
The Hawkesmill Kensington strap is everything a camera strap should be and nothing it shouldn’t! Like Christina I emailed Hawkesmill as well to see what the best size would be for me. They were prompt and polite. Great customer service and the fit was spot on!

Absolutely love my Kensington Strap.
Beautifully wrapped with a lovely waft of leather smell as I opened the cotton bag (the bag was a nice surprise by itself).
Fits my Fuji X-T2 perfectly and feels great in the hand and around the neck. I know it’s going to be a faithful friend for many years to come.

Ordered it for my Fujifilm X100T, it’s my only strap besides the Fujifilm strap that came with the camera (and that I used for measuring to decide for the length 😉 …).
Feels very nice, perfect width for me, looks just as nice as on the pictures, looking forward to it getting its patina with use and wear.
Customer service very helpful with a delivery issue.
So, very happy so far after a few days…

I just can agree with the other reviewers, this is the best Strap so far. Chromexcel is the perfect leather for it, strong but pliant. The Strap is made without objection. I use it with my Leica MP, the rivets will not scratch the body yet. This is the Strap I was looking for.

The finest and most luxurious camera strap I have ever used! And I have used them all! Truly a nice strap, made of gorgeous leather and I’ve had so many people ask me where I got it. Good job guys!
I have the 120 cm version and I’m 6 foot 2. Fits perfectly!

I received my Horween Chromexcel strap from Hawkesmill yesterday. It is beautifully made, supple and strong with lovely stainless steel rings attached. There is no doubt that this leather is the best available and lives up to its name. I bought this strap having had a near disaster with a Leica COOPH strap which came apart at the leather stitched attachment at the end. Fortunately I found the fault (which was pretty obvious as it was catastrophic) before I slung the camera over my shoulder. Having nearly lost an expensive Leica M typ262 with 28mm lens combination I needed a reliable strap and it will never be a Leica product again! This Hawkesmill strap is, I am sure, going to give me years of faithful service. Oh and its stylish as well. Don’t hesitate, buy it

So far so good. No complaints here. Shipping took a little long due to covid. But that’s normal everywhere right now!

Great products are built to last, I should know, I’ve been using the same Canon film camera for over thirty years. While some photographers are forever chasing the latest technological innovation, my work and practice is based on tradition. I like to keep things simple. A roll of film in my pocket, the clunk of a shutter, the smell of a darkroom, watching an image appear on paper in the developing tray. I have never lost my sense of wonder.
And that’s why I love Hawkesmill’s camera straps and bags. It’s about classic style, it’s about quality, its about tradition and like me, they may get a little bashed around as we travel the world, but they are built to last, wont let me down and just get better with age.

Took me a while before I finally caved and bought one of these straps. They didn’t offer a short enough strap for me when I first looked into them, but then they did. And it is really nice.
I am 5’1″ and bought the 90cm strap. In actual fact I probably could have used an 80cm strap. That would be my only critique. I wish they offered more sizes. Otherwise I’m very happy.
