About the small Sloane Street camera bag
The Sloane Street camera bag was the first design we created. We wanted to craft a bag that was minimalistic, but striking at the same time. A classic camera bag that would never go out of style. But instead one that blends in well with whatever the user is wearing. As soon as we put the charcoal tweed up against the black canvas we knew we had a winner. The Sloane Street is our best selling bag for a reason.
We use the finest triple-layered waterproof canvas, paired with Italian bubble leather to create a camera bag that is as durable as it is beautiful.

I bought this to replace my decade old Billingham Hadley. I was going to buy another Billingham, but decided to give another UK brand a chance. And I am very glad I did. This bag is gorgeous!
Don’t get me wrong, Billingham make a great bag, but I just thought their designs could possibly move on a little. They’ve basically been making the same bags for 40 or so years. I wanted something a little more unique.
I looked at Fogg bags and they looked really well made. But they are more expensive than this Hawkesmill. In the end, I went for the small Sloane St bag and I couldn’t be happier. it’s everything a good camera bag should be. If I had to complain about anything and this would be me being really picky, it would be that they could have made it a little smaller for people that just wanted to carry one small camera. There is a lot of room in the bag with just my Olympus Pen F.

Having owned this camera bag for more than 2 years I can honestly say that I am blown away by the quality! This bag oozes premium quality and luxury!!
I have a Leica M9 and a couple of Leica lenses. And all fit wonderfully in this bag. I take it everywhere with me and always get compliments. With so many camera bags out there, this really stands above the rest for quality and design. It’s a breath of fresh air. The clasp on the front was a little new for me, but I have had other bags that had similar ways of opening the bag (Saddleback makes, or used to make ones, so it didn’t take too long to get used to it.
Thank you for not making the same old camera bag everyone else is!

Just received my bag last week and wanted to say a big thank you and write a quick review.
It is really hard not to compare this bag to other expensive camera bags out there. But I will try. The Sloane is made exceptionally well. It is really one of the best made bags I’ve seen. I love the removable insert and the rear insert thing is remarkable at keeping my items where I need them.
I am in and out of the bag quickly and it holds everything I need, while looking great. It has leather protection on the sides and really nice feet on the bottom.
Not much else I can say. It’s a perfect little bag that I look forward to using for many years to come!
